Meeting Minutes
Tahoe Valley RV Resort
South Lake Tahoe, California
September10, 2011
The Chardonnay Travelers Chapter meeting was called to order at 10:04am by Sue Chambers. Sue Chambers, Vice President, stood in for Mary Fowler, President. There were 10 rigs at the park. It was determined by Sue that we had a quorum for the meeting. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bob Anderson.
Secretary’s Report
Roll Call was taken by Gloria Anderson, Secretary. The August, 2011 outing minutes were read by Gloria. The following corrections were made:
Secretary’s Report: The motion was made to approve the June, not July, 2011 minutes. There was no July outing due to the GNR.
New Business: The last sentence “Linda Worley said $70 was collected today” for the 50/50. This was deleted as more money was collected after the meeting for the 50/50.
The theme for the Bakersfield State meeting Sept. 28 to Oct 2, 2011 was corrected from “Aviation” to “Aviation, Flights of Fantasy.”
Sue Chambers requested that a note be added to the minutes concerning the Chapter of Excellence award that said there was a drawing of all Chapter of Excellence clubs from each region - West, Central and East. The Chardonnay Travelers won the drawing and there was a choice of a big grill and a dinner with Doug Formanek, or $500, and Sue chose the $500. A check will be coming in the mail.
A motion was made to approve the August, 2011 minutes as corrected by Mandel Berenberg, seconded by Pat Poplinger, and unanimously approved by the members.
Treasurer’s Report
Rod Thomas passed out copies and read the September, 2011 Treasurer’s report. The beginning balance was $3879.16 and ending balance was $4089.20. Rod said he was not notified of any checks written for August. Pat Poplinger asked if we should do something with the large balance. Sue, Rod and Bobbie Enderlin said the balance should be maintained. Rod said there should be a minimum of $2500 in the bank account to cover outings. Sue said some of the money might be used for the Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. There were no further questions and the Treasurer’s report was filed for audit.
Correspondence
There was no correspondence.
Vice President’s Report
Sue said wagon masters for 2010 need to volunteer for 2012 outings and she would be calling for volunteers where needed. Current wagon masters for 2012 outings are:
February Outing: Kenyons and Halls
June Outing: Berenbergs and Matrangas
September Outing: Silvas and Worleys
The September, 2012 outing will again be at the Tahoe Valley RV Resort. Linda Worley offered to help with decorations for the 2011 Bakersfield State outing.
